Daily Participant Bio: Jim “Slingblade” Grant

Jim served in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard. He enlisted during his senior year of high school and left after graduation in 1989. From 1989 to 1993 Jim served in the Army. From 1993 to 1997 Jim served in the Army National Guard. Jim was deployed to Kuwait just as the mission of Desert Storm was completed. He was deployed with an 11B (Infantry) MOS and 88M (Transportation) MOS.

When asked why he participates in the NVAR, Jim replied, “To do my part in Honoring ALL Veterans and to NEVER FORGET those that served and sacrificed before me. Also, to ride my motorcycle across this great nation with my brothers, sisters, and military comrades that have become my family in the mission of the NVAR.”
