Cindy wall who usually organizes the whole meal at Reno VA has been under the weather but her husband Lauren and her two sisters Kathy and Betsy were there along with Guy Clark and a crew of about six other people to serve us. It was a great meal. Then we headed out across the desert heading for Elko Nevada. I think we had Gail force winds. But it was a great ride.
Wednesday morning started with beautiful weather went over to the Auburn Veterans Memorial Building the Auburn Jeep Club cooked us a beautiful breakfast of pancakes eggs and sausage. Then let us on a parade through their Old Town which is very hilly with narrow streets. Then a quick ride to see the children at The Bowman School and then across Donner Pass. Got to Reno VA Hospital and was treated by Guy Clark The Master BBQ to half pound venison burgers. And they had all the fixings sauteed onions mushrooms and peppers and all the anything else you wanted to put on your burger. Had a great visit with the veterans.
