NVAO Members,
The purpose of this notice is to encourage new NVAR participants and remind previous NVAR participants to visit our website (nvao.us) Our Webmaster, Roger Granbois, has done a terrific job keeping our website fresh and up to date.
1. Over the past few months, we’ve put new photos on the Home Page and the photos from the 2025 NVAR are in the Photo Section.
2. We’ve got some new names in new positions in the Ride Staff and State Coordinator Sections. (listed at the right side of this page)
3. The 2026 National Veterans Awareness Ride Motel Schedule and Daily Ride Schedule are posted. If you’d like hard copies of these schedules, you can print them from the website. Or, you can have them on your phone. Or, we will have a number of Ride Books available on the NVAR. (Please be aware that if there are last minute emergencies/requirements, the schedules may have to be revised).
4. On the website, we have a very complete explanation of what the National Veterans Awareness Ride is all about and and another explanation about how we address military Veterans in the VA Hospitals and Homes
5. We have a section for historical Situation Reports and Photos. Later this Spring, we will announce a new way to put the SitReps on the website.
6. Roger has recently put a survey of the NVAR participants on the website. As mentioned in the last NVAO Update, this survey was developed by our Chaplain, Wayne Warden, as a way to get to know and acknowledge the participants on the NVAR. Whether you fill out the answers to the questions on the last Update or on the Website, they will get to Wayne and he’ll share them with the group. This survey is completely voluntary, but if you would like to participate and fill it out on the website, on the Home Page, scroll down to and click on the title: “Situation Reports (Daily Blogs) and Archives”. The survey will then appear on the left. There is a survey page for Veterans and a page of non-Veterans. When you are done with the short survey, click on “Finish” and it will make its way to Wayne.

We look forward to seeing you on the 2026 National Veterans Awareness Ride.
Be careful out there.
