The National Veterans Awareness Ride is a 13 day ride across America, from Sacramento,
CA to Washington, DC. During this ride, we visit veterans’ hospitals and homes to
spend time with vets and thank them for their service. We speak at schools about
the pride of patriotism and the importance of veterans in our society. And we participate
in memorial services that honor military personnel who have paid the ultimate price
for our freedom.
The National Veterans Awareness Organization (NVAO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring all veterans.
Throughout the year, there are local groups of NVAO supporters that organize rides
and visits to veterans in their area. Others participate in fundraisers and programs
to support veterans needs, and take every opportunity to acknowledge those past and
present who serve and defend our freedom. Have you “Thanked a Vet” today?
Our objective is to honor, support, and remember all the men and women from all branches
of military service. Not only do we want to recognize those who served in past wars,
but also those who serve today to defend our freedom.
