2. We’d like share with you what some of our friends did to make the holidays a bit more special.

a. Kat Tipton, the NVAR Wyoming Co-State Coordinator, participated in the Snowman Stroll in downtown Rock Springs, WY. Artists from around the Rock Springs area painted snowmen that were placed around the downtown. Kat’s snowman artwork was sponsored by our friends at American Legion, Archie Hay Post 24 (these are the folks who provide breakfast for us when the NVAR stops in Rock Springs). Kat’s snowman artwork was titled, “US Veteran/America Thanks You”  Attached are close-ups of the snowman and a photo of Kat the day she laid the NVAR wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. Following is a bio of Kat, including the other types of artwork that she does. Congratulations, Kat. You are an amazing artist.

b. In the Michigan City, IN area, The Wall Gang, many of whom are members of the National Veterans Awareness Organization, spread cheer to folks from 2 to 92 years of age. They have a wonderful tradition of putting on holiday outfits and, on Christmas Eve, riding their motorcycles throughout the land making spirits bright. Attached is a photo of the group of motorcyclists getting ready to ride. Thanks to Karla Lloyd for the photo.

3.  Following is a link to some cool military photos and some smart words of wisdom. Thanks, Steve Moore, for sharing this.

That’s it for now.

Be careful out there. Never forget.
